Over the course on this class I
have had the chance to improve my presentation skills. Our first presentation I
believe went very well. I felt nervous going up to present. I was enjoyed my
group, they were helpful and help keep my nerves down. We worked hard to prepare for all of the
presentations. I will admit the first presentation was my favorite one. I
enjoyed picking the topic and going in-depth about our family values. I believe
it was a good way to learn about each of our families and us. It allowed us to understand each other and to
better gage how the rest of the semester would go. We made sure to get together
and we worked well with each other. The second presentation was fun as well I
enjoyed watching a movie for homework. We had difficulties getting together but
worked well to do it. we all took our part each putting in our own work. I felt
extremely comfortable working with my group. I believe that because of how the
first presentation went I felt more comfortable with them. I also felt comfortable
with the class. If I may, Sarah, you are a fun and bit kooky in a fun way, this
allowed me to feel more comfortable. I saw that you were there of course to
teach us but you were nonjudgmental. I felt if I did mess up you would tell me
what I did wrong but never in an embarrassing way. You always did a good job of
making sure no one in the room would judge anyone else. I found strength of
mine was to have a story I knew. I wish I could be better at not needing a note
card to look at. I wish I could also be less nervous while presenting. The
final presentation was harder; I do not think I am as skilled at persuasions
then I am with an informative speech. I did however enjoy and work hard with my
group to complete the persuasive speech. I think I still have a lot of work but
I believe this class has improved me. Before this class I was always a nervous
wreck. I hope I can also work on my individual presentation as well. I felt I
got feedback when it was needed. My group also gave feedback; we would take after
presentation about how we did. This
class allowed me to realize how important the skill of communication is. Not
only for presentations but also for everyday communication. This class has
helped me greatly I had the chance to learn how to communicate how I my emotion
and how I feel, which I had some trouble doing. I know this course has been and is taken for
granted and not taken seriously because it is a required class for Gen Eds.
However, this class has been extremely helpful. This is a skill I will always
need. After this course I will continue to use the textbook and my note to help
me prepare for any other class presentations.
I believe it will help me to get better grade on future classes
presentations. A future challenge I will face in the future is doing it own my
own. I have enjoyed the help of my group mates. This helped me immensely they
gave me a kind of confidence to go up and present. I hope my future group will
be as wonderful as this one. I also felt we could ask you for help in any presentation.
This allowed me to confide in my group and the class. Throughout the class I
felt there was so much it is was hard to absorb it all. Even though I had these
ideas it was not true. This class has taught me so much. I realized just how
important this class is in everyday life.
I worked hard throughout the class and it has allowed me to have great
success.
