She talks about how hard Nigerian books are to come by. She talks about how when you are young you are easily persuaded into believing the stories you read. She explains how living in Nigeria its hot and sunny and you eat mongoose. The stories she wrote were similar to the ones she read about including white children playing in the snow and eating apples.
